A round shape, fibreglass faces and a soft core favour control, which suits players who are learning padel or play for fun. Buy balls made for your sport: padel balls bounce less than tennis balls. Choose an overgrip by feel and thickness; a thin 0.5 mm wrap keeps the handle close to its original size. The Tecnifibre Flame dampeners fit strung tennis rackets only, since padel rackets have no strings. Visor or cap comes down to heat versus cover: a visor leaves the top of your head open, a cap shades it.
