Cycling & winter: chain lube, ski goggles, neck warmer

Gear for the colder, wetter half of the year, on the bike and on the slopes. Zefal Pro Wet Lube is a 120 ml chain oil for rain, mud and wet winter roads: a water-resistant formula with synthetic esters and anti-corrosion additives, in a squeeze bottle with a drip-control cap, for road, mountain and commuter bikes. What to look for

Wet lube stays on the chain in rain and mud but attracts more dirt than dry lube, so it suits autumn and winter riding and all-weather commuting. Always wipe the chain clean before you re-lube, and keep oil away from brake discs and pads. A photochromic lens saves you swapping lenses when the light changes, but category 1–3 does not cover extreme glacier light, and goggles do not replace prescription eyewear.
