About us

Bunnzy is a small, independent site that helps beginners get moving and keep moving. We write clear, practical guides on running, strength training, home workouts, recovery, sports nutrition basics and building habits, and we build free calculators that answer the questions people ask most when they start training.

Our mission

Starting to exercise should not require a dictionary of jargon or a pile of expensive gear. Our goal is simple: give you an honest, friendly starting point, explain the "why" behind common advice, and help you make steady progress without getting hurt or burnt out.

What you will find here

  • Guides and training plans for people who are new to running, lifting or working out at home, with week-by-week plans, checklists and the common mistakes to avoid.
  • Free tools, such as a running pace calculator, a heart rate zone calculator, a one rep max calculator and a calorie (TDEE) calculator.
  • Plain-language explanations of terms like pace, heart rate zones, progressive overload and maintenance calories.

How we write and update articles

  • We stick to well-established, general training principles and explain them in everyday language.
  • We do not invent statistics, studies, quotes or experts. When we use numbers, they are worked examples or clearly labelled rules of thumb.
  • Formulas behind our tools are named, so you can see where a result comes from and how rough it is.
  • We do not recommend specific brands or products in our guides.
  • We review and update articles when we find something that is unclear or out of date, and show the update date on the page.

Our tools run in your browser

Every calculator on Bunnzy runs entirely on your device. The numbers you enter, such as your age, weight or race times, are not sent to a server and are not stored by us. Results are estimates based on published formulas and averages, so treat them as a starting point rather than a precise measurement.

Health disclaimer

The content on Bunnzy is general information for healthy adults and is not medical advice. It cannot replace a personal assessment by a doctor, physiotherapist, registered dietitian or qualified coach. Please consult a doctor before starting a new exercise programme or changing your diet, especially if you have a medical condition, an injury, are pregnant, take medication or have not exercised in a long time. Stop exercising and seek medical help if you feel chest pain, dizziness, unusual shortness of breath or sharp pain.
