These are Wilson's U Terry Logo Singlewide Wristbands in white: two single-width terry sweatbands that sit on your wrist and catch sweat before it runs into your palm. They are made for tennis and padel, where a slippery grip costs you control, but they work just as well for indoor cycling, gym sessions or a hot run.

Who they suit

If you sweat a lot during long rallies or summer matches, a wristband is the simplest fix. It is cheaper and quicker to use than a towel break between every point, and you can wipe your forehead with it in a second. Players who wear an overgrip also find it lasts longer when less sweat soaks into it. The single-width cut keeps the band compact, so it does not touch the base of your hand when you hold the racket.

Because the pack contains two bands, you have options: one on each wrist, or one on your hitting arm and a dry one in your bag for the second set.

How to wear them

Slide the band over your hand and position it just above the wrist bone, not on the joint itself. That way it does not restrict your wrist when you swing. A simple routine for hot days:

• Put one band on before your warm-up so it is already in place when you start sweating.
• Use the back of the band to wipe your forehead between points rather than your bare hand.
• Swap to the dry spare at the change of ends or between sets once the first one is soaked.

Care and lifespan

Wash wristbands after every session. Sweat that dries in the fabric makes it stiff and smelly. Follow the care label; usually that means washing them with similar colours, letting them air-dry and skipping fabric softener, which coats the loops of terry fabric and reduces absorbency. White terry shows dirt quickly, so washing them often also keeps them looking clean. When the elastic stretches out and the band starts sliding down your arm, it is time for a new pair.

What to pair them with

A wristband handles sweat on your forearm, but your grip still needs attention. A fresh overgrip on your racket and a towel at the bench complete the setup for long, warm matches.
