The AquaSport swim goggles are an entry-level pair for adults and teenagers from 12 years. They combine silicone and plastic, have an adjustable strap and an anti-fog system, and are meant for everyday pool swimming: lane sessions, swim lessons or a holiday by the water. If you want to keep chlorine out of your eyes and see where you are going without spending much, this is the type of goggle to start with.

Who they suit

Basic goggles like these fit swimmers who visit the pool once or twice a week, people learning front crawl and anyone returning to swimming after a long break. They are not designed as racing goggles with low-profile lenses. For steady, comfortable laps that does not matter. Swimming is also a good fit for easy aerobic work, and our guide to zone 2 training explains how to keep that kind of session at a relaxed effort.

Fit and a simple first session

A good seal matters more than anything else. Before you put the strap on, press the goggles to your eyes: if they hold for a moment by suction, they suit your face. Then pull the strap onto the back of your head, slightly above ear level, and tighten it just enough to stop water from leaking in. Overtightening leaves marks and does not seal better.

A beginner session to try: swim 8 × 25 metres at an easy pace with about 30 seconds of rest after each length. Use the breaks to check whether the goggles leak or press, and readjust the strap between lengths. Once that feels easy, cut the rest or add lengths.

Care and lifespan

Rinse the goggles in clean, cold water after every swim to remove chlorine or salt, then let them dry in the shade. Never wipe the inside of the lenses with a finger or towel: the anti-fog effect sits on that surface and fades faster if you rub it. Keep them where the lenses cannot get scratched, for example in a small pouch, and avoid leaving them in a hot car. When the strap loses its stretch or the seals harden, it is time for a new pair.

Safety notes

These goggles do not correct vision and are not a substitute for prescription swim goggles. They are made for swimming at the surface, not for diving or snorkelling. If the goggles cause discomfort or skin irritation, stop using them.

FAQ

How do I know if swim goggles fit?

Press the goggles onto your eyes without using the strap. If they stay in place for a second or two through light suction, the eye cups suit your face shape. Then adjust the strap so it holds them without pressing hard.

Why do my goggles fog up?

Fog forms when warm air near your face meets the cooler lenses. Wiping the inside of the lenses damages the anti-fog layer, so rinse them in clean water instead and let them air-dry.

Can I use these goggles for diving or snorkelling?

No. Swim goggles cover only the eyes and are meant for swimming at the surface. For diving or snorkelling, use a mask that also covers the nose.

Can I choose the colour?

No. The goggles come in assorted designs and the one you receive is assigned at random.
